An Idea for armor
Is it just me or do you find that warrior armor looks great certainly knight? wasn't it a kick in the teeth when you found out that it didn't stack and that galdiators was the best armor to have? Well i've came up with a solution that will not only help warriors but all classes!
How about that when you craft armor you get to choose what it looks like so you could have a full set of knight and it would have the stats of galdiators.
I think this is a great idea as not only will everyone be happy that their character looks how they want it to be and it won't change anything or make it even stronger so everyones happy!
So what do you guys think?

I think it's just you. I also think you're insane. I absolutely think that the armor should be left just the way it is. Why? Everybody wants a buff or a nerf and I would rather see the dev's put their own spin on things. Surprise me!

No, the object of appearances is so you know what to use on an enemy. If you know they have extra energy, they're gonna use it, right? So, you deny them use of that energy, potentially crippling their build.
And this is in the wrong forum, it should go into Sardelac Santitarium.

That's actually the one solid advantage FoW armor offers. Use it in PvP and people won't be able to see your strengths and weaknesses at a glance.

Then you'll know that they're a rich mofo...and probably then using gladiators/knights combo.

Leaving aside for now the fallacy that a target's armor has any significant effect on your strategy, why would you go out of your way to use e-denial on somebody with extra energy? That's just a bigger buffer. It's like saying you should hit the warriors first because they have more health. Completely inefficient. If somebody wearing +energy armor did affect your strategy, (it doesn't) it should be a big red sign to forget about their energy and hit them with everything you've got, because +energy means lower AL.

This is just a bad idea, Glads armor offers more energy because its lighter and not bulky. Putting stats that you want on it is a waste.

And it provides more protection against physical damage because it... leaves most of your body completely exposed. Right.

Gladiators are experts at parrying

thats why there are choices when picking armor. Do you want more protection or more energy. do you want more protection against fire or light etc etc. I like it the way it is.

Your post has, um, nothing at all to do with this thread. Decoupling the strategic choices from the aesthetic choices doesn't undermine the strategic choices in any way.

They did. I think knight's had 100 AL but -60 or -40 vs lightning..about the same with plate.
Studded leather also had 80 AL, but a -energy.
There was also hunter's armour that reduced piercing damage, and heaps of other things that were modified or removed.
